The introduction of the ‘Container Vrijgave Bericht (CVB, translated Container Release Notice) has a major impact on the logistics chains via the Dutch ports. Trade associations, interest groups, Portbase and Customs have joined forces to ensure a smooth introduction. In the joint campaign ‘Ready for the CVB’, parties are informed and activated to prepare for the CVB in time. Only then can all cargo flows be transported quickly to the hinterland. For all links in the chain, this offers new opportunities to work more efficiently. At the same time, the Netherlands is strengthening its leading position as the European logistics hub.
